The Kalydeco campaign is in full swing!
Jane Bollard (CFNZ CEO) and Eddie Porter from Kalydeco for Kiwis met with PHARMAC last week to discuss the campaign. It was great PHARMAC was willing to meet but really highlighted for us how important it is we keep the pressure on for change.
If you haven't already, make sure you write to PHARMAC to show your support and it's a good idea to cc in the Minister of Health and CFNZ as well.
Tip for taking action this week: Talk to your friends, family or colleagues about the campaign and encourage them to show their support too and write to PHARMAC. It's easy to do using a template in our advocacy toolkit.
Background
Early September PHARMAC called for applications from suppliers of medicines for rare disorders. Vertex, Kalydeco's manufacturer, put in an application for Kalydeco. A decision is expected early 2019.
