Meet our newly appointed CF adult representative on the CFNZ board, Alex McKay.
Hi everyone, I am Alex McKay and at the last AGM I joined the CFNZ Board as the Adult Representative for the CF community.
I believe the CF community is a diverse group of people, spanning age, health, gender, and economic status. We even have varying degrees of interest in the community itself. But CF gives us a commonality which requires us to strive together for better treatments, a seat at the advocacy table, and to support each other in the ways sometimes only we know how. I'm on the Board to represent the CF community but I know all our experiences are different - so please feel free to get in touch with me if you want!
A little bit about me:
I'm a Management Consultant at PwC, and I am passionate about devising and executing strategy and change projects. With a background in Accounting and Finance, my usual work is in up-skilling and managing change within finance teams, but I am looking forward to the challenge of sitting on the Board at CFNZ and getting stuck in to some for-purpose strategy.
I live in Auckland, with my partner Matt, and a cute little pug called Dora. I work full-time, but when I'm not working I'm usually enjoying the golf course, an espresso martini, or a local eatery.
