Meet the Northern Field Worker

Hi to all!

It has been 10 months now since talking on this role with CFNZ, and I am happy to say a great 10 months. I have met many people in the CF community and have appreciated the time that has been shared with me.

My focus for the up and coming months is to get to know more people/families in the Waikato region, so far I have had 5 visits to your lovely area including a meet and greet and branch meeting.

In March the amazing Dee and I are going to visit families in the outer regions, spending this time will give me the opportunity to get to know Dee better, reach more families in the time available alongside not getting lost (yes this does happen). After my visit with Dee I would like to focus on the adult community so here is hoping you would like to meet and that you make a good cup of tea.

On another note, for those of you who don’t know me, I have worked in the Health and Disability sector for over 15 years and of recent have gained a Social Work Degree from the University of Auckland. I am a Mum to two wonderful girls and we live on Waiheke Island. In my spare time I like to beach it, walk, cook and have recently started yoga (that I promise myself I will stick at this time).

I work Monday to Thursday if you have any questions or queries please feel free to contact me. Hope to meet you soon.

Kind regards,

Gretchen Kitching
