The CFNZ Board are delighted to share the appointment of Simone Brown as Chief Executive of Cystic Fibrosis New Zealand (CFNZ).
Simone brings strong, thoughtful leadership and a deep commitment to the CF community. After six months of steady leadership as Executive Lead, this appointment reflects the confidence and trust she has earned across the organisation and Board.
“It is a great privilege to serve as CE of Cystic Fibrosis New Zealand and continue to be part of such a determined and passionate community,” says Simone.
“Over recent years, this community has achieved so much-advocating strongly and pushing for better health outcomes for Kiwis with CF. We are now entering an exciting new era, with nearly 90% of people with CF able to access treatments that are making a real difference in their lives. While this progress is outstanding, there is still more to be done.”
Simone also acknowledged the collective effort that drives CFNZ forward:
“I’m incredibly grateful for the support of our Board and Branches and the CFNZ staff who are the foundation of this organisation, and I look forward to continuing the meaningful work ahead, together.”
CFNZ Board Chair, Dame Pieter Stewart, congratulated Simone on her appointment:
“This is well-deserved recognition of Simone’s leadership and the confidence she has earned. We look forward to continuing our work with her.”
We are excited about this next chapter and look forward to continuing our mission in partnership with the CF community and all those who support us.
