» "Going the Distance" Tracey Richardson

We still have a few copies of this amazing and inspirational book left. These make a tremendous gift for Christmas at just $15.00 including P&P (within NZ)

Tracey Richardson is NOT an elite athlete — she is a mum who embarked on a daunting physical and mental journey in order to change the direction of her life.

After ten years working in corporate roles in New Zealand and Australia, Tracey took a break to have two children — both diagnosed with cystic fibrosis (CF). Out of necessity she became self-employed and won a business award for her franchise business.

By 2002 the continuous pressures of running her business and caring for her ill children took its toll. Tracey was morbidly obese and clinically depressed. She made the decision to try to discover some value and purpose in her life and along the way found herself competing in the gruelling Ironman New Zealand triathlon, to raise money and awareness for CF. Tracey went on to compete in the world-famous Hawaii Ironman, one of the toughest one-day endurance events in the world.

Tracey's story is truly inspirational and amazing — a story of success over adversity and how focus and passion can actually change lives.

» iwant - the NZ Auction site with a difference!

With the growing number of online auction sites the founders of this site still couldn't find a site which they believed offered the opportunity for members to give something back to the community.

So firstly they developed iwant to be a responsible member of the community. Members listing items for auction are encouraged to select a charity from a list of "preferred charities". When bidding on an auction, bidders can also choose to pledge a donation to the sellers' preferred charity. Should a winning bid include a donation pledge the site emails the bidder with the details of their pledge together with the name and bank details of the charity. Donating is entirely optional.
