Who is Raising Funds for Breath4CF?

Breath4CF is happy to announce the following athletes have a fundraising campaign in action raising funds to help breath4CF.

Firstly, a great big thanks to all the athletes and their supporters for making IronmanNZ 2012 a very successful year for Breath4CF. See you all back next year! :-)

These people are currently raising funds for breath4CF through their own sweat and hard effort, a big thanks to you all for your efforts.

Dan Burgess

Dan is going to be running from Bluff NZ to Cape Reinga NZ, a total of 2200 kilometres, basically he will be running a marathon each day!!

Dan is not only doing this because he is mad, but its a great chance to give something back to charity. Dan has kindly chosen Cystic Fibrosis NZ as I have lost a friend to this disease, and also have family members with CF.

He has also chosen to do this run for Parkinson's UK, as his Grandpa has it.

I am training for and will be running the Christchurch marathon on June 3rd, 2012. I am fundraising for breath4CF, a charity supporting people with Cystic Fibrosis.

Emily Arps

Hi my name is Emily and I am 21 years old. I live in Christchurch and am currently studying towards a Master of Health Science at the University of Canterbury. I was inspired to raise money for Breath4CF upon reading Tracey Richardson's book, Going the Distance. Having a lung condition myself, Kartagener's syndrome, I have experienced the benefits of increased physical activity to my health and thus I am passionate about Breath4CF, encouraging and supporting people with Cystic Fibrosis to maintain their health through exercise. Always after a challenge, I'll be using my 'Breath4CF' by entering in my first half marathon, the Christchurch Airport Half Marathon on the 3rd of June this year.

As my "Beauty with a Purpose" for the Miss NZ Festival of Beauty 2012 in which I am an official candidate of Miss World NZ 2012, I'm very excited to be raising funds for a cause close to my heart through Breath4CF - a branch of the Cystic Fibrosis Ass of NZ.
"Under the Breath4CF grant fund, financial assistance is given to Cystic Fibrosis Association members so that there is no financial barrier to participating in life-preserving exercise or activity".
I would really love to make a difference for those living with CF, therefore over the coming months, I will participating in a series of events for which you can sponsor me by making a donation to this page.
