Cystic Fibrosis is NZ's most common life-threatening inherited disease and the CF Association is the only national organisation dedicated to all aspects of the condition.

» Emma walks the length of NZ for CF Research!

Emma's Walk for a Cure 2240kms in 70days for Cystic Fibrosis Research19 year old Wellington Student Emma Daken doesn't do things by halves. So when she decided to do something positive about her best friend's Cystic Fibrosis, she decided that she would use her fitness and love of exercise to raise money for CF research by walking from Cape Reinga to Bluff in an ambitious 70 days for the 2200km walk!

Emma will be visiting many of NZ's large and small towns on her walk and she hopes to get a lot of local support for her campaign.

Emma is being supported along the way by some very special people and businesses

 

Jucy Rentals have donated the use of one of their very funky vans for the team along her walk.  This amazingly generous offer over the holiday season will give her support crew some transport and Emma a place to shelter and eat along the road!

 

Millenium Hotels are providing accommodation for Emma and her team in Palmerston North and Dunedin, along with meals so they can keep up their strength!

» CF Named as Ironman Charity for the next 5 years!

We are delighted to announce that the charity has been named by Ironman NZ as the official charity for a further 5 years, following the runaway success of the campaign since 2004. The 2008 campaign is set to be bigger and better so watch this space!

 

» An excellent night with Greg and Jason raises $20,000!

Tasman MotorsportThanks to the team at Tasman Motorsport a fantastic night was had by all who came to the dinner. A very special few got to whizz around Pukekohe with Jason in Andy Booth's NZV8 (including the CF CEO who's screams could be heard in Wellington!) The night was a special one for all the petrol heads who attended as the drivers entertained and educated us about what the V8 Supercar circuit is really like! Our grateful thanks go to Greg and Jason, Tony Mee, Andy Booth and the Tasman Motorsport Team, Gray Mathias, The Rock, SKYCITY and Big Ben Pies who all helped to make the night a success.
