The Auckland Branch covers an area from Warkworth to Pokeno.

We are the largest branch in New Zealand and are busy and active, with volunteers and paid staff.

We offer assistance with:

· Equipment essential for people with CF

· Welfare issues

· Peer support

· Help when in hospital

· Clinic support i.e parking

· Education and information

· Financial and emotional support

The North Island Field Worker, Sally Carron, is based in Auckland and shares office space with the Auckland Branch Co-ordinator in Onehunga. Paediatric Care in the Auckland area is delivered at Starship Hospital and adult care is delivered at Auckland Hospital.

We are an active branch with fundraising events each year to raise the money we need to support people with CF in our area. Among many small fundraising ventures we sell the Entertainment Book, attend the Kowhai Festival in Warkworth, and coordinate awareness week activities. We are also hosting a movie night this year to give everyone the opportunity to meet with other parents of children with CF. We also hold regular coffee mornings which provide a wonderful, relaxed, opportunity to mingle and share ideas.

We publish three Community Newsletters each year which are posted to all Auckland members. The newsletter contains:

· Articles from our community

· Lots of photos

· Updates from Auckland and Starship hospitals

· Branch news and diary dates

· Summaries from conferences and other events

· Branch, National, Starship and Auckland Hospital contact details

· Thanks for our sponsors and supporters

We also run the odd competition for photos, recipes or fundraising ideas.

Membership fees for our branch are $40 per annum
